Libsyn is one of the oldest podcast hosts. It stores your audio and publishes the RSS feed that the podcast apps read. If you want a full podcast website on your own domain, you can keep Libsyn for hosting and build the website with OnPodium, or move your hosting to OnPodium too.
Two ways to use OnPodium with Libsyn
- Keep Libsyn, add an OnPodium website. OnPodium reads your Libsyn RSS feed and builds a website with a page for every episode. Your audio, your feed and your listings in the podcast apps do not change. Plans start at $9 a month.
- Move hosting and website to OnPodium. On the Pro+ plan, OnPodium can host your audio and publish your feed. You import your show from Libsyn, then redirect your old feed to the new one.
Where to find your Libsyn RSS feed
OnPodium needs your podcast's RSS feed address. You find it in your Libsyn account, and it usually looks like https://yourshow.libsyn.com/rss. You can also search for your show by name when you create your OnPodium site, and OnPodium finds the feed for you.
What your OnPodium website includes
- A page for every episode, with a player and your show notes, and new episodes added by themselves.
- 9 templates, your logo, colours and fonts, and your own domain with https, or a free onpodium.com address.
- About, Contact and Subscribe pages. The Default, Clean, Squares and Playful templates show an email sign-up form on every page; it confirms each address, and on paid plans subscribers get an email for each new episode.
- SEO titles and descriptions for every page and episode, and a sitemap for search engines.
- On Pro and Pro+: a blog, a guest form, a reviews page with your Apple Podcasts reviews, a YouTube videos page, a sponsors page, and custom pages.
- On Pro+: sponsor click reports, email campaigns, digital products sold through Stripe, and podcast hosting.
If you move your hosting from Libsyn
- Start an OnPodium Pro+ account and choose to import an existing podcast. OnPodium copies your episodes and audio.
- Check that every episode is there and plays.
- Copy your new OnPodium feed address from the dashboard.
- In Libsyn, redirect your old feed to the new address (a permanent, or 301, redirect). If you cannot find the setting, ask Libsyn support to do it.
- Keep your Libsyn account open until Apple Podcasts and Spotify show the new feed, so the redirect keeps working.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to leave Libsyn to use OnPodium?
No. Most people start by keeping Libsyn for hosting and using OnPodium for the website. You can move hosting later.
Will my listeners lose the show if I move hosting?
Not if you redirect your old feed to the new one. The podcast apps follow a permanent feed redirect, so subscribers keep getting new episodes.
How much does it cost?
Website plans start at $9 a month. Hosting is part of the Pro+ plan. Every plan has a 14-day free trial.
